Memcached in Shared Hosting
Memcached is offered as an upgrade with each and every shared hosting account that we offer and if you’d like to use it for any script-powered website that you host on our innovative cloud web hosting platform, you’ll be able to activate it in a couple of simple steps through your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. In the meantime, you will get the option to upgrade two different features – the number of instances and the system memory. The first one is related to the number of the sites that can use the Memcached object caching system simultaneously, so if you need it for several Internet sites, you can get a handful of instances. The second one refers to the total amount of memory that the system will be allowed to use to cache data, so for many websites (or for one single resource-consuming site), you’d better get more memory for improved performance. The memory is available in increments of 16 megabytes and more memory can be added every time you need it. With the Memcached caching system, each script-powered site hosted on our cloud servers will load extra-fast.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can get the Memcached object caching system as an upgrade with each of our semi-dedicated servers and since it works with any script-driven application, you can use it for every Internet site that you host on our semi-dedicated servers, no matter what application you have used – Mambo, Joomla™ or WordPress, a custom-built app, etc. You can order the upgrade from the corresponding section of the Hepsia Control Panel from which you manage your semi-dedicated account, and you can select two separate things – the instances and the amount of memory that they will use. In other words, these things show the number of the websites that will use the Memcached system and how much system memory the system will be able to use in order to store your information. The two things are ordered separately for more flexibility and one instance does not come with a fixed amount of memory. You can make full use of Memcached with any sort of website and both you and the website visitors will swiftly spot the difference in the performance.
Memcached in VPS Servers
When you purchase a VPS server from us, you’ll be able to use Memcached at no additional price, as the data caching platform is offered with all virtual machines that are ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel. Even if you run data-heavy Internet sites, you can increase their performance without efforts and the reduced load on your virtual machine will allow you to keep your current Virtual Private Server hosting plan instead of upgrading to a more powerful one. The amount of system memory that the Memcached caching platform can use to store data depends on the package that you are using, but even with a lower-end one, you’ll have at least several hundred MB, which is significantly more than what you’d get with a shared hosting package, so the website performance boost will be serious. You can take advantage of the Memcached platform with any database-driven application, regardless of whether you’ve created it on your own or you’re using a ready-for-use one such as WordPress, Joomla™ or OpenCart.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Memcached comes free of charge with all dedicated servers that we’re offering and the only condition is that the dedicated server must be ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel. You can use the distributed memory object caching system for any database-powered Internet site, including those based on widely used web applications – for example, a WordPress personal journal or a Joomla™-powered social network. Each dedicated machine comes with a certain amount of system memory that the Memcached system can use, but the minimum amount you will get is 3 GB, which is sufficient enough to enhance the speed of extremely heavy sites immensely, since this memory will be dedicated to storing the cached data. The system will start caching content as soon as it is activated, so shortly after that, you’ll observe the optimized overall performance of your websites and the decreased load on your dedicated machine. Numerous sites use Memcached to boost their efficacy, among them famous ones like Wikipedia and Reddit.
